Krakow, one of  UNESCO’s  Cities of Literature, recently set up a project located in the street they describe as being at the ‘heart of Krakow’s poetry scene’. One of the buildings there has traditionally been a place for local poets to display their work. Each day, a poem by a local poet is projected on to the building’s facade.

Krakow invited Melbourne and other UNESCO Cities of Literature, Edinburgh, Dublin, Iowa City, Norwich and Reykjavik to contribute to some poems for inclusion. The rules were that the poem should be 5 lines long, each line a maximum of 30 characters, and it had to mention your city.

One of Joan’s was selected.  Here it is on show, in English and Polish.
