For any idealists out there still dreaming of the brotherhood of man, it’s an unfortunate truth that human nature hasn’t changed since the Just William books of the 1920s.  William’s brother takes to Bolshevism, but his plan consists of asking his father for more pocket money.  William takes a more practical approach by helping himself to Robert’s flashlight and his camera.  Robert’s verdict:

It’s all right when you can get your share of other people’s things, but when other people try to get their share of your things, then it’s different.
